Vehicle tracking allows office staff to view the current location of all the vehicles in your fleet on a real-time map. Know at a glance where your vehicles are and what they are doing; equipment and yellow iron can also be tracked to allow the closest available asset or vehicle to be routed to a job site, minimizing downtime and the need to rent equipment. Additionally, with Fleet’s historical reporting, users can see where a vehicle was at any given time or see any vehicles that passed through a particular place. Valuable assets, such as trailers, can also be tracked on the same maps as the vehicles with the addition of battery-powered tracking devices.
Fleet Monitoring and Maintenance
Powerful driver behavior monitoring dashboards provide fleet managers with a transparent view of operations. Filter data based on driver, vehicle, or view comparisons of the whole fleet. Receive real-time email alerts, such as low battery volt¬age, unbuckled seatbelts, and odometer readings. Fleet monitors speed, fuel consumption and RPMs to help fleet managers address high fuel costs and safety issues caused by excessive speed or unnecessary idling. Vehicle pre-trip inspection and maintenance reminders are based on odometer readings which ensure valuable vehicles are maintained appropriately.
With Fleet, field operators/drivers can electronically manage field tickets, update inventory details and track job statuses using mobile devices such as rugged in-vehicle computers, laptops or Android tablets. Office staff, who can track the current job stage of a field operator, are able to send last-minute changes directly to the operator and ticketing information is sent to the office electronically in real-time, eliminating paperwork and time-consuming data entry. All the information captured is time-stamped and accurate, allowing for immediate billing. Billing discrepancies never occur and customer complaints are eliminated.
Fleet’s work-alone safety option allows easy compliance with lone worker legislation and safety policies by automating the check-in process, ensuring field operators are connected to the office at all times. Workers can check in on their mobile device or with an intrinsically-safe work-alone pendant. In the office, staff can monitor the status of all lone workers and are immediately alerted when a worker misses a check-in or an emergency arises.
