Long-time users of computerized dispatch systems, United Blueline Taxi was unhappy with the level of customer service they were receiving from their previous provider and decided to shop for a new system. They needed a system that would be able to handle a high volume of calls and a provider that offered exceptional customer service.
Solution
United Blueline chose the Mentor IntelliFleet® taxi dispatch software solution for all their electronic dispatching needs. With their new system, United Blueline is using the IntelliPay, IntelliPhone, IntelliMap, and IntelliClerk modules, which are all part of the IntelliFleet suite. Mentor's Mobile Data Computers (MDCs), with internal credit card swipes and GPS receivers, are also installed in the cabs.
Results
One of the greatest benefits of United Blueline is realizing with IntelliFleet is improved response times. IntelliFleet facilitates zone dispatching and GPS/Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL), so, United Blueline's cabs are now at the pickup location within 10 minutes of receiving a call, 90 percent of the time. This has enabled the company's residential business to thrive. United Blueline has another edge—on-the-spot financial transactions with the help of electronic credit-card verification integrated in the MDCs. As United Blueline looks to the future, IntelliFleet will support their ever-growing fleet of vehicles, from cars and vans, to accessible vehicles and executive cars. "Because of this system, we can dispatch trips to seven different vehicle types," says Tony Rosina, operations manager. "The software lets us define exactly what the customer is looking for and determine which vehicle best meets those needs. We can now respond to a variety of customer requests."
